Winter is a notoriously slow time of year to be a family/wedding photographer. But it’s a great time for learning, playing and introspection. I needed to take the first couple of months off to revive myself, and now that spring has sprung, I can’t put my camera down. I’ve been playing with free-lensing, which is a method I learned about on the amazing website Clickin Moms. You remove from your DSLR and actually hold it slightly away from the sensor. It gives a very lensbaby effect. I’m still learning to control it.
